Finally, Bollywood makes a must see. (no dancing)

A sort of movie review: Kai Po Che

A movie that tells the story of politics and religion that taints the western state of Gujarat.

I'm not a big movie fanatic, especially Bollywood, but this has to be shared. Please if you get the time, watch: Kai Po Che (I've cut it). The actors are all new faces and are brilliant. There are no typical Bollywood frills. If you are sceptical about Indian movies and think of them as singing, dancing and terrible fight scenes, then be assured that times have changed and new directors are breaking that cliché.

Now, I really don't want to get into too much detail about the storyline and be a 'spoiler', but I do want to get across how strong the messages are in the movie..

The social and religious divide in India has led to some horrific events; some used in this movie, are so horrendous, you wish it were fiction. Men slicing each other with swords over religious and political divide.

Cricket is used throughout the movie to tell the story of three best friends trying to make a success of a new business. Things start to get complicated once money is borrowed from an uncle, who is also a politician.

This is a must see. Yes there might still be a bit emosh, and corny at times but its Bollywood! It's the message that's important.

FAT Food Fail

An F for me.

Feeling a bit annoyed with myself as I'm still putting in the effort with boxing at New Era Fitness but my diet is as bad as Bradford City's performance on Sunday.

This weekend saw pizza, apple pie, samosa and chocolate biscuits. (To name a few).

It's easy to become complacent and think "I exercise so I can eat it loads"- well here's the news - YOU CAN'T. Don't stuff your face because you burn a few every night.

A bad diet, even with exercise, slows down weight loss, slows metabolism, lowers fitness levels, and so makes it difficult to burn it off.

I've noticed in the last ten days (and Lee has kindly mentioned - a few times) that my fitness levels have dropped considerably. And it's all since the diet slipped and the bananas turned into banofee.

So the plan forward: Back to fruit for breaky, chicken salad for lunch. But it's the 4pm munchies that gets me. I need some suggestions... Ill see what a Facebook request brings. Comment if you have any?

So the point is: don't lose site of all aspects. Eat clean, train dirty and don't slip!
